2013 USC signee PG Kendal Yancy-Harris says he'll talk with his family tonight on whether he'll re-open his recruitment & who he's consider.

"and who he's consider" --- sounds like he is reaching out to staff's and checking interest level. Ours was high in the summer, have to imagine that not much has changed. However I know we are very interested in Travis Jorgenson. We only have 1 spot left.

Someone should tweet this to Lutz but I'm sure he is on this.

names surfacing to replace Kevin O'Neill:

San Diego State coach Steve Fisher, St. Mary’s coach Randy Bennett, Long Beach State coach Dan Monson, Colorado State coach Larry Eustachy.

also hearing Jamie Dixon thrown around. I don't see Dixon taking it but all those would probably really be interested.

Fisher has a good thing going at SDSU, they give him alot of support. Big negative is possibly moving to the Big West. I could see Bennett, Eustachy or Monson taking the job if offered.

if Harris re-opens his recruitment, one would think that the Jays would get back in his recruitment.
After all, he is the explosive, athletic Wing type we were hunting for all year. Kendall would be the feather in Coach Mac's bonnet, and the crowning recruit in a great 2013 class. :)

Scout and Rivals list Harris as a PG, both list him as a 4 star player, and Scout grades him at 84. Both list him significantly higher than Jorgenson, plus he can play either guard spot.

Player Scout/Grade Rivals
Harris #19/(84) #23

Jorgenson #44/(73) #31

Kendal Harris asks for release from USC. #Creighton was heavily involved before his commitment. Harris is 2013 combo guard

Has requested his release, should get it. This will make Kendal one of hottest prospects out there!

Had 22 points, 10 assists & 7 rebounds in a win last night. Would easily lots of minutes next year.

Hopefully Lutz can convince Harris on Creighton. If we get with the C7, I like our chances but alot of schools will be in on him I'm sure.

Interesting, am I off base thinking that a lot of schools don't have a spot left?

RecruitScoop has a blurb on Kendall.

One thing I've learned over the years ---- space miraculously comes available for a high level talent. If a team really wants Harris, they'll find room for him.

BY THE WAY - now that he's going by Kendal Yancy-Harris, someone should change the thread title.
