Jays lose 4-2...if things go as expected next weekend we'll likely face XU again on their field in the first BE Tourn game since we have Tiebreak over UConn and StJ has it over XU...not what I was hoping for...

If we can win the next 4 that would be nice momentum going into Prasco. Should be a fun rest of the season. I think we can make a run. We won the series against both UConn and X.

If we sweep Georgetown we will be the number one seed and tie for regular season

Was at the park all weekend. I think our pitching was damn good for the most part.

The bats however have room for improvement.

It’s unfortunate we couldn’t manage the sweep. Nevertheless, if we sweep 3-15 Georgetown next weekend, we finish tied for first with UConn at 17-4, with our 2-1 head-to-head giving us the #1 seed. Unfortunately, we would most likely face a #4 seed Xavier who finishes BE conference play at 14-7. St. John’s currently sits at fourth at 11-7, but I anticipate they will sweep Butler next weekend to also finish 14-7. Since SJU swept Xavier earlier in the year, SJU would overtake Xavier for the #3 seed. I have a feeling we match up better with SJU though. Regardless, let’s just win every game so it doesn’t matter.

Not sure what I was looking at that it looked like we had an unequal total number and were out on percentage points even with a sweep. Weird.

It's interesting if we do end up drawing X in the BET. It sucks that it is always on their home field (like the BET for basketball is on SJU home floor -- except I would never trade MSG for anywhere). And X is much, much better at home than away -- they have the second best home record in conference. But we have the best road record in conference by a pretty good margin, I think. So it's setting up for a potential classic opener. But we need to not drop one to a bad Georgetown team first.
