The direct effect of this phenomenon on CBB is a wider talent pool. It remains to be seen exactly how the new influx of European players will be distributed across the talent spectrum. That is, how many players from Europe would be ranked in our top 10-25 HS players domestically? Versus the much wider and diverse, difficult to pin down 25 to 100 range.

Regardless, my conclusion is that the wider talent pool only benefits Creighton. I feel that Mac and his various staffs over the years have consistently done more with less and identified guys who may be somewhat overlooked, and their potential is maximized by our system and culture. And with the wider pool, our recruiting will only stand to improve, relatively speaking.
