Rob Anderson listed Fedor as potentially playing in his first Big East game tonight in his game notes for GT.

It may not mean anything (most likely IMHO). Or, perhaps Rob is advocating (very subtly) or dropping a big hint to the fan base that Fedor is suiting up tonight.

Anybody know anything? I am just guessing.

Making An Entrance:

Jamiya Neal, Fedor Žugic, Ty Davis, Shane Thomas, Jackson McAndrew and Josh Townley-Thomas could each play in their first career BIG EAST game on Wednesday.

Patrick Henry says, “Give me Fedor or give me death!”

Or something like that.

I think Mac realized this roster wasn’t close this year and took a massive swing praying it would work out.

Roster is not close next year either. Needs a massive overall everywhere but the 2 and the 4

Seems to me the ruling by a Tennessee Federal judge today in the Diego Pavia case should put an end once and for all to this nonsense about keeping Fedor in the penalty box. Sure, the facts are somewhat different, but the reasoning in the opinion applies. Collegiate sports are a business, and the NCAA is unreasonably and arbitrarily denying Fedor a business opportunity--a chance to pursue a basketball career by showcasing his talents--and that the NCAA is acting anti-competitively and in restraint of trade.

It'd be different, I suppose, if the NCAA hadn't approved any Euro pros, or if they had established clear standards about how much pro experience was too much. But they long ago cleared nearly everybody else in the same boat, and if there were any red lines about how many foreign pro games were too many--and if Zugic went over the maximum--I don't think anyone knows what the number is, and, anyway, we wouldn't have signed him in the first place.

I've been pounding the drum for a long time now that if Fedor or Creighton had gotten this case in front of a Federal judge, he'd be playing by now. Creighton's probably afraid of the restitution rule, but the Pavia judge shot that down too. The NCAA would quickly cave if they had to defend this in court, but maybe it's moot now. The reasoning in Pavia should apply to Fedor too, and should get him into the lineup.

Tell the NCAA we are going to play him December 31, so we are giving you (NCAA) time to save face by declaring him eligible before then. If they don't, play him anyway. What are they gong to do? Make us forfeit games he played in? We aren't making the tournament without him, so what does it matter? If they try to penalize us, sue them. The NCAA is now full of guys who played pro ball in Europe. They have no case. I think the reason they are dragging their feet, is because we haven't previously stood up to the organization like the big boys have. As long as we play the compliant little brother, this will continue.

The NCAA pretending it matters that Fedor has played pro ball is absurd. Each and every player in college hoops is now a professional basketball player. This and the portal are a reasons my give a fuck factor is so low.
