Miller shot 45% from 3 last year and was ahead of both Green and Traudt on the depth chart. He hit two big 3s against Kansas in big spots. He's put a lot of time into this program. His minutes were incredibly costly in the A&M and Alabama games, but Mac isn't going to just bench him entirely this early on, nor should he.
A few games ago Jasen was unplayable, now he needs to play big minutes and all the other 4s need to be benched? In a few games I'd bet Traudt has a big game (we've seen a few of those from him this season already). The truth is that none of these guys have been able to find consistency but they all bring useful skills to the table. Mac's going to have to keep trying to hit the right buttons and decide who can help the team the most in each game.
The best path forward is for things to start clicking with those guys, and that won't happen if they don't play. The core isn't talented enough like last year's where you can just pare back the rotation to the bare minimum and have enough juice to accomplish their goals.
