I wouldn't be surprised if they knew this was happening. Finish the season before you lose this year's eligibility. Then hope Fedor is cleared. Didn't we have a player do the same thing years ago (Funk's shoulder?)

Coach Mac talking to John Bishop on the pregame radio show: "It was severe to the point that there could be some long term impacts if Pop tried to grind out the season, and obviously his health has to be priority number one."

"Pop hasn't played in enough games, so a medical red shirt is certainly an option and something that I think will happen. But we have to get the hip fixed."

Yes.
If Pop had played yesterday it would have likely tipped him over the 30% of games threshold that is used to grant medical redshirt.

Good. That Vail clinic is world renowned for athletes and a lot of these kind of surgery. Pop is getting the best care.

Nope. They must have changed the link. The story was up for two days. Maybe it timed out. The story actually queried whether Pop could carry Houston over the top. But, still, wish him well.
