2013 SG Shirmane Thomas (Tennessee Tech Verbal Commit)

based on a couple of tweets I saw yesterday, looks like Shirmane Thomas has transferred to Prime Prep (Deion Sanders' charter school).

but, according to this piece, it isn't even a sure thing that the school can compete in varsity sports this season:

Someone posted this on the North Texas message board, not sure what he knows but sounds about right....

He's going to Wichita St. Tried to verbal to Creighton a few weeks back, but he was 3rd in their pecking order for CU's last ship. CU really wants Foster, followed by John Dawson, so just weren't going to take a Thomas verbal at that time. WSU is what's on the table. FWIW, Foster is enamored w/the Big 12, even though stylistically he'd be far better off at Creighton

Damn, I thought Coach targeted three or four guys for a spot and took the first "yes". I hope we don't get shut out. I ESPECIALLY hate losing a good player to the Tards. This sounds more like Altman's "put all eggs in a single basket and get stuck with Keith Denson" recruiting MO.

Shocker site saying today (Sept 8) that the Thomas visit is being rescheduled. Strange that it came to light now as I thought that visit was due last week.
