Part of the issue, as others have noted, is that the BE was putrid in OOC. Wins in conference play didn't move the NET up as much as previous years, and a loss was a real drag.
The Jays losing at home to Huskers was part of CU's contribution to the horrendous OOC record.
While a feel a little slighted, its also hard for me to be too upset with the committee by our seeding. Our best nonconference wins were Kansas, Notre Dame, and UNLV. ND and UNLV are trash and Kansas was maybe the most overrated team in the country.
We lost all 4 of our other major non con games (SDSU, Nebraska, A&M, and Alabama). Got whipped by Nebraska AT HOME and SDSU on a neutral court and totally blew a winnable game against A&M.
In conference play, the Big East was not nearly as strong this year and while we won a lot of conference games, I would not say that we were overly dominant.
At the end of day, what hurt us is the 5-4 record in Q2. Had we beat Nebraska and SDSU and finished 7-2 in Q2, our seeding would look very different.
Its abundantly clear how much the committee values non conference games and we just severely underperformed in that department.
