Another year of wishing we were more athletic/physical. I could have sworn after the Tennessee game last year, Mac said that was a priority.

The reality is cu is never going to be a super athletic team. Mac has his formula/preferences and it's hard to argue with the results. Unfortunately, there will be a few games every year where they look like they are wearing concrete shoes.

We need to get lots more feet set, not rushed 3 point shots by Ashworth or McAndrew.

Keep Thomas on the floor as we need his, Neal’s, and Green’s athleticism and speed.

And my gawd, their moving bull dozer screens in the paint to push Kalk out of the way. Mac need to start screaming at the refs about it.

I don’t necessarily disagree, and I’m not asking to be uber athletic like Bama. But we’ve certainly had years where we have guys who may not be freak athletes, but can hold their own. Mahoney, DJ, TSA, Khyri, Foster, Art, O’Connell, etc. This next offseason might be a huge portal year given we lose Ashworth, Neal, Kalk, and who knows about Pop. The only guy I really care to get back next year is McAndrew, the rest of the roster is full of JAGS.

Not counting 11 cause he’s an outlier, Neal is the only guy athletically that can compete.

And to compensate for that, you need guys with great to elite basketball IQ, perimeter shooting, and decision-making. And so far this year's squad turns the ball over constantly and cannot consistently hit perimeter shots.

I think the reality is that the only guys with good size/athleticism we can bring in consistently are too marginal for the coaches to take a chance on -- low skill/BBIQ, non-shooters, etc. Hell, we just brought in arguably the most athletic recruit in program history and he didn't even suit up.

You can say things like, "we need to get stronger and more physical", but if all the strong guys realistically available to you amount to a losing team, what are you to do? I agree with section221.

But, it is concerning that over time, we appear to have become weaker and smaller. How great would Damien Jefferson, TSA, Ballock, Mahoney, be for this team right now?

Yep. When you shoot more than 50% of your shots from 3 you better be pushing 40%.

Ashworth shooting us out of this game. Terrible shot selection.
