And I’d like to see it NOT happen because it could actually hurt Creighton and has zero chance of helping the Jays.

Agree 100% with HinkyDinky. Its surprising to me that some on this board still think of UNO as competition.
We've missed out on some transfers (Sutton and Fidler) from UNO possibly because of CU's attitude.
These players never gave us a chance. Maybe because of CU's snubbing of their school.
UMKC (Summit League) was on our schedule last year.... explain to me why we would play them and not Omaha?
Same could be said for UTRGV, Houston Christian, ETC. The argument that we dont gain anything by paying UNO..How did we gain anything by playing these teams?

It’s better for local basketball and the community. Let’s do it. Nova has no real benefit playing Drexel but does it. Good for the community

I say let’s play em. The benefits would outweigh the negatives. It would be good for the city and for both universities and if we can’t handle UNO then there are bigger issues at hand.

And on top of that you can probably low ball them because they’d love nothing more than to play that game.

As far as ‘elevating a team we are competing with’, we’d better not be competing with the likes of them.

Everything revolves around money now. For the right discount I would stick them in the CHI and whomp them.

Bingo. Pay them expenses to catch a MAT bus across town and play them. We're paying upwards of $100,000 for a Summit team to come to Omaha, so put that to better use.

And if they beat us, then that's on us.

Is it possible that we've suggested such an arrangement and UNO turns us down? Buy games pay a large share of their budget.

So, guys who are turning their backs on UNO are pissed at Creighton for snubbing UNO? My God, even for a nebby fan, you are really dim-witted.

Why should the Jays play New Orleans? I say yes to scheduling the school down the street. As others stated, it's good for local bball and they play Summit league teams every year, so there's always a (slim) chance for a bad loss.

Saying "what's the upside" makes no sense when they are filling the schedule with zero upside trash for the first month of the season already.

If your non-con is full with power conference teams I get it. But that is not now, nor will it ever be, the case. Play them.
