One of the most boring opening weekends in recent memory. Not sure if it’s a coincidence that it aligns with NIL and too small of a sample size. But, hopefully this isn’t a glimpse into what the tourney will look like going forward.

Absolutely yes. Was the easiest call for the ref but no way the ref blows his whistle on that. Pussies.
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

I was about 10 rows away from that play. Pretty loose whistle all game.

A big, huge, giant, leaping, lunging extra step. And then another step after that. Suddenly, the NBA broke out. The ref right there with the “nothing to see here” attitude was Roger Ayers. We see that guy all the time.

Seth Davis said it wasn’t a travel and talked about some special baseline camera angle, like it’s the Zapruder film. And Jay Wright said you can’t make that call at that point. WTF? Then when can you make the call? The possession right before that? Ten seconds earlier?

If we can get called for a game-deciding finger tip, Maryland should have been called for a game-deciding hop, skip and a jump.

Watching it live, never crossed my mind that it was a travel. In slow motion, maybe?? I’m glad they didn’t call it.

Seems like the traveling call has gone the way of the rule against the defender impeding the dribbling player's freedom of movement the last few years. An extra step here, a switch of the pivot foot or hop on both feet while pivoting is rarely called anymore. In all fairness, Creighton has benefitted from the loosened traveling calls at times this year as well.

Along with 3 (or 5, or 8) seconds in the lane.

I'd rather they call the foul when there's a foul, and call the travel when there is a travel absent the foul. Most of the times I've seen it benefit us, is when Kalk shuffles his feet because someone is hanging onto his shoulders when he has the ball
