Defense and hustle, but his continual misses in wide open looks hurt.

With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, it sure feels like he should have played more.

+1

His D needs to improve to get more minutes with Mac. His O is light years beyond any other bench player (Traudt perhaps not that far behind but rather one dimensional).
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

I could be missing something but we don’t have a lot of lockdown 1-1 defenders. I don’t consider him any different of a liability than several other players, thus we funnel to Kalk.

As a Creighton fan, I only dream of getting an immediate-impact freshman like McNeely. Wish we had that with McAndrew. I don't think Greg ever landed a 5-star recruit.

McNeely was great tonight. He looks like a 1 and done player. Teams with 1 and dones have not fared well in March recently. McNeely is a great player, but to have consistent success you need to get old and stay old. Recruiting the

sucks to lose, but to me it looked like we had really tired legs all night and that was likely compounded by the people having been sick

We weren't going to win every game to the end of the season, so this one doesn't bother me that much. A few days off before St Johns will help more than anything else at this point

We are 2-5 when we shoot less than 30% from 3 PT and we just didn't have the energy to overcome that, especially when we aren't shooting that well overall -- we are now 0-6 when we shoot less than 41% from the floor.

Add in the offensive rebounds we gave up and it's pretty surprising we had a shot to win it in the end. Tip our hats to UConn and McNeely - McNeely played a great game and they needed this one more than we did at this point in the season.

We need to take the 5 days and get ready for St. Johns now. Going 2-1 against the top teams in the conference will set us up nicely for the rest of the run toward the conference tourney

I didn't see any Jays that really stood out so I'm giving my standout player of the game to McNeeley. I would like to see more of Fedor.
Any game is hard to win when your 2 best players have an off night unless someone steps up and has a career night. We didn't have that someone.

Made the mistake of trying to read lips while on the air. Was told there was something that happened in or near the tunnel after the game. Later told by an administrator that it was "he said, she said." So, it is likely a whole lotta nothing.

Intense game, intense atmosphere. Classic Big East basketball. I am thankful we have programs like UConn and coaches like Dan Hurley. Gives us something to chase, something that makes our blood boil. Iron that sharpens iron.
