2025 Big East Tournament

It's going to be fun beating St. Johns on their home court for our first BE tournament title.

I'd love to see that, but I'm hopeful they stumble on their way to the finals so we don't have to play them in a St. Johns home game for the finals

Bracket worked out well for us, and I'd certainly love to see the team win their first BE tourney title this year

The one knock under Mac is that he doesn’t play his bench enough, or have a deep enough bench to earn playing time, depending on one’s perspective. I believe that this lack of depth will keep us from winning a conference tourney championship. When we have made the final game, our guys have been pretty gassed.

Of course, I also believe that it isn’t all bad to get knocked out of conference tourneys and rest your guys before the big dance.

Probably worth noting that St. John's (26.3% bench minute), Marquette (26.2%), Xavier (24.4%) and Villanova (20.3%) all play their bench less than Creighton does (28.2%).

Obviously that doesn't tell the whole story as it's possible if not likely Kalkbrenner, Ashworth and Neal all play 38-40 minutes in any given game, but this year's team isn't last year's in terms of its bench usage.
