2013 PG Travis Jorgenson (Georgia Tech Verbal)

Postby AttyAlum » Fri Oct 26, 2012 9:11 am

We used to have a thread on this kid, but I can't find it now.

Anyway, Jorgenson is from NH but played for a KC AAU team, KC Pump & Run. We recruited him pretty hard for awhile, even offering a scholarship, but he ended up verballing to Mizzou.

According to @adamzagoria (an east coast recruiting guy) Jorgenson has just decommitted from Mizzou. Knowing how hot the staff has been to nab another PG, I wonder if we may try to jump back into the picture here...

He's in the Rivals 150 at 137 and their #31 PG overall for 2013.

Doing some further investigation, the kid is from Columbia, MO but presently attending a prep school in NH, hence the NH address...

A new Rivals story indicates that Jorgenson isn't ready to sign a LOI this fall, will go through the recruiting process again and sign in the spring.

Might be worth keeping an eye on...

Great find AA. We were hot-to-trot in recruiting Travis, but he verballed early (Fall 2011) to Mizzou.
His thread has fallen off the board...

AND Mizzou picked up our guy, 4* PG Wesley Clark, out of Michigan Romulus HS...
Maybe Travis saw potentially decreased PT ahead?

At the same school as Nick Norton. Norty was his backup at Columia last year. That would be ironic if they ended up at the same college
I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

Again, Jorgenson is a heady, strong, lefty point guard who can get to the whole and create for teammates. Plays much like future Jay and former high school teammate Nick Norton.
