Well, Millard North had a game at 4:15 and their JV team played before that.

Thanks for the info Jacob. Did not realize they had a game in the afternoon. Maybe he at least caught some of the beatdown on tv.

Where do you think Hunter ends up?

The husker website just had an interview with him after his game against Lincoln High where the NU staff was there to watch.

Hunter said some of the normal recruit stuff about NU...good relationship, can fit in the offense, he talks to the staff a lot.

The one takeaway I got from the interview was how strongly he stated he wants to play in front of friends and family and how it's a big consideration in his recruitment.

There's 2 schools that meet that criteria in spades and it's Creighton and Nebraska. Hopefully we've built enough of a relationship with him to bring him in the fold and keep our Omaha mojo going.

Hunter was at the game last night. Wonder if we have a legit shot at him.

At least between CU and the Fuskers, Sallis knows CU is a team that would not have lost this year at home against the likes of UC Riverside, Southern Utah, George Mason or North Dakota, and realize the situation 50 miles away is not changing anytime soon, so best move is to commit to CU. Hopefully, he does not chase blue bloods and likely limited playing time.

To me, Sallis looks like a guy who would fit right in and play a lot like Alexander and Ballock in this offense. Some think of him as a PG, but mostly a SG/wing, but in our offense he could shoot, create and really fit in nicely (and have a big like Kalkbrenner on the floor with him).

To expand on this, his first (and only so far) official visit to Nebraska was that Southern Utah game. His visit last night (unofficial?) he saw our Jays kick Marquette's ass.

He of course has lots of options and who knows what's going through his mind but if it came down to us vs the team down I80, the choice couldn't be clearer. Jays for days.

Allow me to rephrase your comment more accurately. Hunter was at the game last night. I wonder if he really has a shot at us?
