Committed to UAB. Best of luck to him, just a tough way things worked out with the new league and his knee injury.

Good luck to him. The timing and the injury must have been tough, but I like his game (he's a bit of a poor man's Austin Chatman with his speed and ability to handle). I think he'll do well at UAB.

He seems to have recovered well. His early season stat lines are pretty good. 5 pts, 5 asts vs. ULM; 11 pts, 8 asts vs. Young Harris; 1 pt, 8 asts, 4 stls vs. South Florida; 8 pts, 5 asts, 5 stls vs. Jackson State.

Strange, I typed in a post, but it didn't appear:

Good to see. I felt bad about his injury and the change of plans with CU, so it's great to see he's doing well. almost 30 minutes a game there and with a 26/6 assist/turnover ratio..nice!

I think Talbert is redshirting at LIberty while Darien Harris is playing already at Oral Roberts due to a transfer waiver. He's only getting a few minutes a game, but he should be set up well to have a nice career there and be closer to his family.

For the record, the staff (and we as fans) felt this kid wasn't good enough right?

Yikes.

Its OK. He is averaging 7 pts/game. He was 6 of 11 from 3 last night. He is a 40% 3 point shooter on the year. I think the consensus is to get longer and more athletic in the BE. Norton looks to be having a solid Freshmen year, but I don't think another 5'10, 175 lb PG is what the Creighton roster needs.

He tore his ACL three weeks before we accepted the invite to the Big East in 2013. That injury, combined with his stature not really fitting what we needed in the Big East (he makes Austin look gigantic by comparison, as he's 5'10", 175 lbs, and Austin looks miniature compared to other guards in the Big East), led to him decommitting that spring.

He'd have been a good player for us if we were still in the MVC (and he'll be a solid player for UAB). We need bigger guards now, though, and he isn't it. Glad to see him have success there.

Wrong. Polyfro is right. Staff thought he would do great things in MVC, which is absolutely right. In BE I don't think he'd have 26 pt games. Love his game.
