There seems to be a good chance that Hunter Sallis does end up at UNC. I think we have some time before a decision, and there are quite a few schools in hot pursuit of the athletic and talented five-star guard.
North Carolina has put a lot of work into recruiting Sallis, and I like their positioning. Hometown Creighton is a factor. Kentucky recently offered. Kansas and Oregon also are major players in his recruitment.

I’m not ready to place a Crystal Ball prediction, but I do lean to North Carolina at the moment.

Why can’t Wragge have a sit down conversation with Sallis and tell him all the reasons he shouldn’t go to UNC?

I think our chances of landing him are much better than they were a few months back, but at the end of the day if he picks anywhere outside of Creighton I just hope it’s not UNC.

There is a RIvals article today that features Sallis and other point guards.

It basically predicts Sallis to choose Kentucky:

"We have already seen 20 of the 25 top point guard prospects in the 2021 class make their college decisions and it is not even the middle of September. Could another round of dominoes be about to fall?

Maybe the most recruited player in America, point guard Hunter Sallis just cut his list to a final dozen but there is also a general feeling that he is not too far off from making his college decision. While it would be a huge bummer to not get him to Creighton, there are plenty of great basketball players out there for CU to chase. Seems to me our sweet spot in recruiting is to get the guys that are ranked 50 to 150 that stick around for 2+ years so that Greg can mold them into a cohesive unit.

That being said, it sure would be nice to pull the upset and get Hunter in Creighton blue.

I haven't forgotten and really like what we have, but I'm pretty sure Mac could find a way to make it work with Sallis as well if presented with that "problem."
