"It's actually funny because there was information getting out that like, I was demanding this and that," Scheierman said. "In all reality, I knew NIL was gonna be a part of it, but I told my parents at the beginning of the process that if I'm going back to school, I'm doing this to ultimately put myself in a better position for my pro aspirations."

I've been one of the most optimistic people around regarding this team, but the last 2 off seasons have just blown away any expectations I might have had.

This team will be a force to be reckoned with in the tourney next year.

It sounds like there is still a possibility he would stay in the draft. Please tell me that I’m wrong.

He’s still talking about the G league tryout.

He’d be dumb to not go through the rest of the process.

I’d be shocked if he stayed in

“The biggest separator was the culture,” Scheierman told the World-Herald. “Coach Hoiberg’s trying to build that culture with Nebrasketball. Creighton has already established its culture.

“I’m coming back to graduate college and, ultimately, I wanna win.”

It definitely doesn't hurt having 3 guys that can handle the ball and create for others in the starting lineup. I think adding Scheierman is huge for Kaluma as it allows him to play the four which gives him a quickness advantage on pretty much everyone we play.

On the surface, you are absolutely right so I'm not arguing with you. But my hope is that you end up being absolutely wrong about the 3-spot, i.e. it turns out we DIDN'T have a glaring hole there because Mason Miller and Ben Shtolzberg are those guys and that good. Now, we just have insane depth.

My hope is that Miller and Shtolzberg follow a Gillespie, Divincenzo, Tolliver-type career path. Solid, contributing role players early on great teams that take the reigns and develop into all-conference caliber talents and leaders.

Here's hoping today is a great day.

That's exactly the formula that Nova has been using. We could possibly/probably be looking at replacing Nova as the "program" to beat in the BE going forward.

Truly amazing how most everyone panicked when Mac made his infamous gaffe. As it turns out, he's not "that guy" at all... and most of us knew that. Otherwise we wouldn't be getting the looks we are getting from top players everywhere.

It's good to be a Jay...

Go Jays!!!!!

The comments from other fan bases on Twitter are something else. So much anger. So much resentment. So much disappointment. I saw one Husker fan say, "You could have made history in Lincoln." I don't even know what to do with that.

Live look at my schaudenfreude gauge
