Why the hell are people so upset with Helmzy? He has some insights, some connections that typically shape up to be true and he’s being attacked because you do not like the way he messages it? Why? The BJU just became less interesting if he was driven off by some bitter “get off my lawn” posters. Great job, everybody!!

I don't have any issues with his info. It's cryptic, but tends to be solid info regarding fluid situations with recruiting. Why people are complaining doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

We are potentially landing ANOTHER top player one that may put us over the top for winning the BE and making a serious run to the end of the tourney, keeping all of the core of a team that was already very young and very talented.

Just take the win people, because these are huge wins

We had a glaring hole at 3 spot unless we were going to go big or small. This also adds to our floor spacing and shooting while adding another ball handler. It definitely doesn't hurt having 3 guys that can handle the ball and create for others in the starting lineup. I think adding Scheierman is huge for Kaluma as it allows him to play the four which gives him a quickness advantage on pretty much everyone we play.

Agreed! Who cares if Helmzy is cryptic?!? More importantly it's legit, and it makes it interesting, entertaining. Losing Helmzy's insider information would be a major blow to this board.

On the surface, you are absolutely right so I'm not arguing with you. But my hope is that you end up being absolutely wrong about the 3-spot, i.e. it turns out we DIDN'T have a glaring hole there because Mason Miller and Ben Shtolzberg are those guys and that good. Now, we just have insane depth.

My hope is that Miller and Shtolzberg follow a Gillespie, Divincenzo, Tolliver-type career path. Solid, contributing role players early on great teams that take the reigns and develop into all-conference caliber talents and leaders.

Here's hoping today is a great day.

Not that it matters at the end of the day, but what are the chances that FF is taking Miller's scholarship? (if Miller is indeed going to walk-on)

I have to assume Mike Miller was the driving force behind FF and would have to assume/hope that the coaches were wanting to make a big splash this offseason (ala Baylor Scheierman) in addition to the Farabello signing. Plus it seems like there was no hesitation to keep pushing after FF took the last spot.
