And I agree with you there- the sentence I highlighted before that said everything will be ok- I ABSOLUTELY agree with. King Art and Mason will be godsends to this program. Plus we always seem to find awesome players regardless of what happens. Really wanted AT though, oh well.

As expected, Isaac commits to Virginia.

Hope he does well. Not really a fan of their slow pace of play but I’ll be rooting for him.

Everything’s gonna be fine. This really wouldn’t even be viewed as that large of a blow if he wasn’t an in-state kid.

Agree to disagree on that. Any time you get a top 50 kid who is down to CU and one other school, it will hurt, just mpi.

My reason for saying that is the fact that we have two top 100 freshman (one who was a top 50 guy) at the exact same position. It would sting a hell of a lot more if we didn’t have Miller and Kaluma

I think that's really the issue. He was perfect for our system, but for the next level learning to play D was very important, and even more importantly, we share the ball, but that's a lot of sharing and only one ball for guys who do very similar things on the court.

There are no guarantees in hoops but I’m pretty confident Isaac would have been in the rotation for CU this year. A redshirt may be in his Virginia future.

I don’t vet ‘em, I just post ‘em.

Would he though? Who’s minutes would he be taking?

We’re deeper and more talented than Virginia this year, he wouldn’t be guaranteed to redshirt here, but I would be surprised if he contributed much as a freshman.

He probably committed to Virginia because he knew he would have to battle for minutes. Also, had he committed to CU, Baylor might have decided to go elsewhere. I like our personnel this year. We do need to get some more 2024 commits than we seem to be on track for at this point.

Traudt would have Jasen Green’s scholarship.

Look at the roster right now. The Jays are thick with guards. The bigs are:

Kalk
King

Kaluma
Miller
Green (would have been Traudt)
Baylor is a guard/forward but can play the 4 at times against smaller teams.
Yates, walk on

Art isn’t even going through contact work right now. Let’s hope he is 100% this year. Do you really think Traudt wouldn’t get run here as a freshman? I think Green has a good chance to contribute.
