And I was skeptical about anybody paying their own way to make room, but it sounds like that may actually be the plan, which is probably another indication of the culture Mac's built in his program if someone who could play almost anywhere - regardless of his family's financial situation - would choose to do that.

Any word on who?

Who you'd probably guess.

I mean... come on. It's obviously the son of the former NBA champion.

So now the question is, did we literally bait a faux-commitment from Kerwin to put the pressure on Baylor to claim the (non-existent) scholarship slot? This is absolutely insane

No. The interest in Kerwin was real.

So its no longer, recruits pick Creighton, but Creighton picks recruits.

Would have been fired up to get Walton, feels like coaches said to Baylor we need an answer or we are going with Kerwin for the last spot.

Expectations are going to be through the roof next year. March Madness is random, but you can't miss this opportunity.

If they perform as possible it could literally be Des Moines, Kansas City, then Houston. Insane opportunity in front of the program.

Hey man, if you knew half the story about the "kid" that is running that Twitter account, you would not be talking. The work that he has put in over the past 24 hours is unmatched. I don't think it's in your place to hide behind an anonymous name on a message board calling someone out who has genuine connections with coaches and players.

Is the interest still there with the seemingly imminent commitment coming up? Or do you think he was a backup plan?

Am I wrong to be worried this Scheierman NIL stuff could cause issues?
