He probably has a pretty good chance of starting day one wherever he goes

The issue I see is that he projects as a PG at the next level, but really doesn't have the PG skills to go along with it. He's much more of a 2-guard at the moment.

Now, I'm not in any way saying that we shouldn't go after a 5-star recruit in our own backyard, but it's interesting to try see where he would fit into our style and system.

Would Mac play him at the 1? Or would he try to develop him into a 2/3 combo guard type? Perhaps Primo is just slightly higher up on the staff's board because there's a much clearer fit between play styles?

Primo appears to be a higher priority because there is much more mutual interest there. Sallis would absolutely fit with Creighton.

I'm guessing neither is higher up between Sallis and Primo. We lose TSA, Ballock, Mahoney and DJ after next season. We will be pushing hard and can offer minutes to everyone. Sallis, Primo and Tamar Bater could probably all come in and start day 1. Hopefully we ca land Walton this year too

He's not a point guard and I don't know why Rivals thinks he is. I've asked Bossi and I don't agree with his answer. He'll play on the wing in college. The coaches would love to have a player with Hunter's skill set in their system. He'll be near or at the top of their board until they get an indication he's not interested, which I don't believe has happened. Kansas and Gonzaga are going to be tough to beat, but I think he'll let Creighton and Nebraska continue to stay in it.

He's able to make some advanced moves and really get to the basket at times but he's also loose with it and will lose the ball or get it stripped a little too often.

Like Khyri his freshman year? He was pretty loose to start with and tightened up his handle quite a bit as a sophomore and junior.

Blurb on Sallis from Corey Evans:

"Hunter Sallis is in no rush to make a college decision but rather is enjoying the newfound, national recruitment that has been presented. Gonzaga was the latest to host him on an official visit and their interest in him has not dropped off; earlier this week, the Zags were on hand for one his final high school games of his junior season.

Keep an eye on Oregon as the Ducks were one of the first to really recruit Sallis before his breakout. Dana Altman, who was formerly the Creighton head coach, possesses a few connections with Sallis that may help.

No other official visits have been scheduled but some could be taken once his high school season completes in the coming weeks. Kansas has already offered and have had him on their campus, the in-state powers, Creighton and Nebraska, must be accounted for, as should a group of others including Iowa State, Louisville, Marquette and Ohio State."

Wow, when did Nebraska become a power at anything other than women's volleyball and sometimes wrestling?!
