So at a minimum it's looking like 2 players will have to be walk-ons and at max we'll have 2 transfers?

FWIW I totally believe Baylor to UNL. Actually I have thought that from the beginning. And honestly, that may be the best move for him - he can shoot a lot, score a lot, and maybe move into the first round next year. And maybe even lead them to the NCAA's. From Aurora, NE of all places. Anything is possible. Kerwin Walton just has the right vibe as the right piece of the Creighton puzzle - like King and FF. Mason Miller goes walk-on and gets NIL money. Getting both Baylor and Kerwin really seems like overdoing it - getting players to get players.

Or we don't get one of the guys we're currently talking about getting.

Agreed. Kerwin can slide in at the 3 and we’ll have him for two years. Wouldn’t mind getting Baylor, and he would definitely make us a Top 5 team, but I just don’t see it happening.

You guys are nuts thinking Kerwin and Baylor are interchangeable or that Kerwin is a better fit......Baylor will make us Final 4 contenders, Kerwin can't play defense (per UNC fans) and is merely a shooter (a good one) and couldn't crack a UNC rotation that was horrible for most of the year, we already got Farabello who is similar to Kerwin in that respect. Plus, Kerwin would be right in front of Shtolzberg for multiple years who the staff is very high on.

Walton played very well in 2020-21 for UNC (Roy) and was primed for more as a sophomore.
Lil Hubie takes charge in 2021-22 and makes changes...Kerwin started well, but was relegated to the bench
more and more as the season progressed. Coach Davis' whipping boy.

Kerwin will fare very well in Mac's system.

Not saying I’d rather have Kerwin over Baylor but it’s just more likely to happen. Will trust in Mac and squad

Can a certain poster please reel in his awful Twitter account a little bit? I don't understand the people that tweet at these kids, especially someone who's tweeted at him multiple times in the last week...

Kerwin: Better cultural fit with current roster, athletic, two years, not as much danger of alienating players, less expectations, less drama.

Scheierman: Proven scorer, analytics are off the charts, desired by elite teams, seemingly a more “guaranteed” producer.

Given our recruiting history it’s nothing short of amazing we are having this conversation. It’s an embarrassment of riches.

Frankly, I think when Kerwin became available Scheierman got the same ultimatum Isaac Traudt got from Virginia. You’re either in or we’re moving on.

I think that sounds about right. The other thing about Walton is that McDermott had heavily recruited him out of high school in Minnesota so he he knows him and his family. That comfort level is important when the Jays have so many very talented players - you want to know how a new guy fits in with the great vibe from last season (like Ryan Miller knew FF).
