Apparently the second game is a 7 inning game too. And we lose. Error on a throw by Ben north. He should just DH at this point. He has too many costly errors. Atrocious to lose this series. We likely are on the outside looking in again for the big east tournament. Can’t beat seton hall. How can we beat St. John’s. Why this was 2 7 inning games is beyond me. In no other sport is that done. Play the full game.

Creighton Baseball Twitter said 'travel restrictions'. I guess CU had a non-flexible flight they had to make. I believe they still fly commercial flights.

Incredible, that in this pay-to-play era, we can't get full games played. Shameful, though, based on your posts, we should have had this in the bag.

Agreed. Shameful and unacceptable. Which is why I was hard on Ed for games like this last year. It’ll cost us in the end to make the conference tournament. We had a 5 to 0 lead against a bad team on Friday and blew it. We had a 6 to 5 lead today and then Ben North had an error. His hitting can’t make up for his game repeated errors.

I can’t believe that we couldn’t get two full games in today or at least one 9 inning game. Even if we had fly commercial. No other sport has this happen. Can you imagine cutting a basketball game short at the 12 minute mark in the second half and saying let’s end it now in a tie at this minute mark because the road team needs to carful a flight. It’s arbitrary. And stupid.

Valid frustration, it's a weird look to call a game like that.

This series was supposed to run Friday–Sunday, so flights were likely booked with that in mind, weeks/months ago. Trying to rebook 30+ people last minute after a weather delay isn’t just a pain, it’s a legit logistical and financial wall.

Wish it was better, but the sport just doesn’t have the same travel flexibility.

It’s just a weird look to say before the game starts it’s a 9 inning game and mid game change to 7. But understood on the flights.
