Multiple reports now leaking out that the Big East is indeed moving things up a day -- the day-long tipoff marathon will be December 30. Smart move not to try and compete with the CFB playoff; even though there exists people who'd rather watch Big East hoops than college football (like me), those people are vastly outnumbered so it's always going to be a ratings disaster to go head-to-head.

Wonder if they'll still stagger all five games that day? A lot of folks will need to punch a clock that Wednesday, what with NYE+NYD+weekend following.

Good point. I wonder if the 2nd or the 3rd would be a better option? Competing against football, but not the big games. Sunday might conflict with the pro football playoffs. I'm not sure when they start.

2 Hoosiers cited for drinking again - Holt and Bryant.

Interesting to see how IU responds in this case. If Coach Crean & co. expect to roll over the Jays...both Thomas & Holt could receive a 2 game (exhibition & opener) suspension. if they have some apprehension only a 1-game suspension.

However, Holt (a reserve player) was involved in the drinking related auto accident last Halloween. He could receive a stiffer punishment.

Can we get a West Coast 2-3 game road trip in 2016 or 17? I am missing me some Save Mart Center action.

They moved the opening marathon to Jan. 2nd, which makes a great deal of sense!

Incorrect. The openers are 3 games on the 30th and 2 games on the 31st. All teams play on Saturday January 2nd.

CU opens on the road again this year but opens the home slate on the 2nd.
