The college football playoff is moving to December 31 for the next two years. Does this impact whether the Big East has the conference start on this day?

So when is everyone planning their Vegas trip? Wife was asking last night about details for it. Said I didn't think the website had tickets up yet, etc.

And a Central Arkansas player just tweeted that their schedule includes UMass and Rutgers. So by process of elimination, UTSA and Texas Southern will be the 2 home games for Creighton and Clemson in the MGM Grand Main Event.

Session ticket pricing is up at the event's site but says it's not ready to accept purchases yet.

And the requisite, completely expected Twitter meltdown from UNO fans has commenced. A yearly ritual, continued!

The realist in me is saying 9-4 just because of last year's lapses against lesser opponents. Worried about Loyola ASU and Texas Southern. Hoping for 10-3 and would be ecstatic with 11-2 or better. We need to get through November with 1 loss so we can have that confidence for a very packed and competitive December. Liking the 5/6 power conference matchups and where they fall. If we can capture either that Indiana or Oklahoma road game it'll be huge. Here's to hoping this young team learns fast and builds on the Italy trip!

11 of the 17 home games are against power conference teams (9 BE), so I shouldn't complain, but I would have liked to see us schedule one more home game against a P5 conference like the SEC or ACC. Would always help the national profile in that area! Maybe it is still tough to get those games scheduled and I know we need cupcakes, but it's more fun with name teams!

Good schedule: 6 majors, incl. 2 ranked teams, and 3 good mid majors (Coppin, Loyola, and Tx Southern). I like this one. Need to win 1 of the 2 games vs ranked teams - hope you're correct on the non-conf record.
