2016 fwd Tyler Scanlon was scheduled to visit over this past weekend. Any news on how his visit went?

Any followup from the 2016 SF Scanlon (VA) visit?

It appears that some 2016 kids have begun verballing early.

Hilltop,
WBR has 38 CU recruits listed for 2016, Rivals has 10 CU recruits.
What appears to be the current priority? PF, Ctr? Some very good candidates in the 2016 class. Creighton currently has 2 spots open, 3 if we don't use the last 2015 slot this cycle.

It would seem that if we get Frankamp, that PG would have a reduced priority, as we would have 3 on the squad? That is too bad as both Aiken and Myles appear to be very good PGs.

With the season underway I guess recruiting has a much lower status now, but just trying to firm up a general picture of where we are recruiting-wise.

With all the guard activity for the 2015 recruiting cycle, CU has been busy.
I was hoping that success in 2015 would open the way for landing 2 Bigs in 2016, as we only have 2 current scholies for 2016 and several bigs are on our recruiting list:
Ctrs: Bolden, Morris, Mitchell Smith
PFs: Racocevik, Ivanauskis, McGriff

However, it appears the staff continues to court several SFs and guards for 2016. Guess we may have to wait until 2017 for more bigs?

That would be my guess. Consider that in 2016 - 2107 we will have the following "bigs":

Patton - So
Hanson - Sr
Hegner - Jr

I know that theoretically Hegner plays the 4, but I would contend we are likely to see him play some backup 5 in the future.

I think Xavier Sneed will be a big piece of the 2016 recruiting class (ie. the McQuaid/Clarke of the 2016 class). He is a 6'5 wing and athletic. He holds a number of other high-major offers. His AAU team will be watched a ton this summer as his teammate, Jayson Tatum, is one of the top recruits in the country. He had been a little under the radar (previously unranked on Rivals, not ranked on ESPN, only a football profile on 247). He is ranked #81 in the latest Rivals rankings and Creighton should have a leg up in recruiting as he has already been on a visit.

Just a prediction looking ahead to the 2016 class.

PG Dejon Jarreau and F Brison Gresham, both 4 star players were just offered by Creighton. They were BC recruits so I'm assuming Murphy is working already.

Don't have a 2017 thread by we just offered Brian Bowen, 2017 SG from Michigan. 5 star recruit by most scouting services. Murphy aiming high.

This may be a stretch, or getting ahead of ourselves, but with Fred Hoiberg potentially leaving for the Bulls, I'm wondering if there are any Iowa State recruits who will take a pass and look elsewhere. Were we in on any Iowa State guys?

We have the Coach Mac connection (which may or may not be good). We have a similar high tempo offense. Anyone who committed to Iowa State isn't about beaches or location. So, maybe we have a chance? Do you recruiting honks, who know way more than I do, think there are any wildcards that we could now be in on?

A lot of presumptions, but that's what offseason discussions are all about.

EDIT* Found this from an Iowa State article:
The Cyclones secured one commitment in the 2015 class with Nick Noskowiak pledging on April 26. The point guard from Wisconsin has strong ties to ISU assistant T.J. Otzelberger, who returned to ISU this spring after a two-year stint with Washington following a seven-year run with the Cyclones under Greg McDermott and Hoiberg.

Noskowiak originally committed to Marquette, got released, committed to Iowa State. Just signed on Apr. 26. Seems highly rated. Interesting to see what he does.
