I love Creighton as much as anyone, but it's unlikely that the answer to that question changes much in 10 years.

JaysLifer wrote:The whole "I want players who want to be here" idea is funny to me. On some level, if a player ends up here, he wanted to be here. I'd be willing to bet that if a top flight school like Kentucky or Duke was offering Doug or Kyle, we'd have never seen them as Bluejays; it's hard to imagine someone picking Creighton over one of those schools. If Mulder ended up here, it would be in part because he didn't get an offer from Kentucky, which is how we also got every other player in recent memory. That doesn't mean no one "wanted" to be here.

Maybe you are correct, but if the staff believes Mulder can be a difference maker than they should be making every effort they can to get him; even if it is a bit of a longshot.

I'm not saying it's in play here, but all of these kids are being sold a bill of goods that they will play in the NBA and there is only one path...the "Blueblood" one. Over 75% of college basketball players think they will be playing professional basketball. So, what you're seeing is an influx of talent (or should I say, "surplus?") at schools like Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, etc, etc. Talented kids that would be stars and have all the playing time in the world at a school like Creighton, Butler, Marquette, etc. Instead, they sit as a 12th or 13th man on the bench at Kentucky. The reason why the amount of transfers are so obscene these days has A LOT to do with that. Well, I got news for ya kid, being a 12th man on the bench at Kentucky is not going to get you into the NBA. However, being the number 1 or number 2 at Creighton just might.
