I feel like they should have been prepared to take him when they offered...especially this late in the process. But, UK will be UK, maybe that's just how they always conduct their business. I wasn't a high school kid getting looked at by D1 schools, so maybe its not my place to chime in, but I would feel pretty disrespected if I were offered a scholarship and subsequently "not allowed" to accept it, for the sole reason of UK holding out for someone better.

Yeah. Sounds like it's a conditional offer, not a straight offer. If it was a straight offer I have to think that he would have already accepted it.
I would agree with you that I would feel disrespected if I was offered and then not allowed to take it, but it's Kentucky so I fully understand why he's going to wait it out. It's also possible that Louisville could offer in the mean time. It's all frustrating as a fan, but if I was Mychal I would wait it out too.

Pretty sure Louisville is out, but Indiana may be the real threat here.

Does Indiana have any scholarships to offer?

Has there ever been a point in his coaching history when that stopped Tom Crean? The term "Creaning" didn't end up in the Urban Dictionary for nuthin'.

It's probably a "conditional" offer. He is suppose to visit them next week which will give Calipari another week to try to get his "All-Americans", ie is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th choices....

So then we hope Calipari gets his other choices and pulls the offer leaving Mulder for us. Lets see what happens this week. 8-)

How is his slow-play offer from Kentucky different than CU's slow-play offer to Trent? Seems to be part of the landscape.

I think it's about the same thing L__Jay. I don't understand what happened there. Go Jays!

They spent a lot of time and got a good, hard look at him, and in the end they looked elsewhere. They must have decided other guys were better fits. Foster becoming available certainly altered their thinking, I'm sure.

It seems like fans often fall in love with every player their team offers, despite having little to go off of other than highlight videos and box score stats.
