FWIW, Jerry Meyer changed his Mulder pick to Kentucky and had an article that stated a UK offer for Mulder was "imminent". Uphill sledding from here on out.

Can't speak for anyone else on here, but I don't at all think that I know how to build a program. Our staff understands what is needed, but has had a dismal time beating out other schools for recruits the past few months. I'm sure that they're more disappointed in the recruiting misses than I am. So, it's not as though everything's going according to plan, and I'm expressing concern cause I think their apparent plan is a bad one. Instead, my concern is that this staff may never be able to fully execute their plans, because they are unable to get enough of the players they want to land.

I do like the current 2015 class, but only one of those 4 guys seems more likely than not to eventually be a big time player. For the 100th time, I hope that my relative pessimism is proven wrong.

As for strong opinions, everyone on here has them. I do think some people are more apt to acknowledge their own opinions' weaknesses and seriously consider contrary opinions and the merits to be found in those opinions. All of us are wrong a lot of the time, and that's just the nature of obsessive fans having a place to vent their sports opinions for others to read. I swear that I don't come here to argue. I like seeing what everyone has to say about Creighton hoops.

As for Mulder, I agree that we are probably out.

According to this article - it appears that Mychal and his coaches at Vincennes are awaiting a UK offer. Both his HC and main asst are UK grads.

We were probably out when he didn't commit after Louisville didn't offer. Cal & Kentucky were probably already sniffing around at that point.
I don't blame him at all. I (and most on this board) would wait for that Kentucky offer, too.

Yes maybe, but I for one would at least let the schools that I have no interest in attending let them know how I feel about then instead of dragging them along. Now we'll have missed on two guys in the past month, both of whom could have played immediately. You don't free up roster room for a transfer. You free up roster room for someone who can play now if you're in our position.

Maybe he did. Perhaps Mac's in-home was one last sales pitch?

Am I the only one confounded by this situation in that a team like UK who has built its program under Caliparri around McDonald's All-Americans and early NBA draft entrants is after a junior college player? I'll believe the UK offer when I see it.

Eight guys walked last week.

Maybe he has slimmer pickings than normal or maybe he's just that good.
