I find it hard to believe we are waiting on one before making a decision on the other. If we could somehow get both, we would take both in a heartbeat.

I hear you. But, there is only 1 available scholarship at this time, and the staff's actively pursuing at least 3 guys (Mulder, Foster, and Custer). Mulder already visited and Mac’s recently made at least one trip to Indiana to watch Mulder play. Foster’s first visit is to CU this weekend (may or may not be coincidental that it's happening now and is Foster's 1st trip). Custer’s been mentioned by people in the know. Would the staff take all 3? Did or do they still think someone else is likely to transfer out? How serious were the walk-on conversations mentioned by Piv?

Who knows, but this staff hands out “offers” like Halloween candy, and it does not seem to always be a first come, first served scholarship recruiting method.

As a noted cheerleader, I feel it necessary to point out:

We do have a nice class already, let's not forget about that

We will sign someone we need, and it needs to be someone who will build the program the best and not just someone to help us get better next year while being a lesser player

IMO Mac knows this (fortunately) so I will guess that if it isn't Mulder we won't be receiving any immediate help, so prepare yourselves

If Trent wasn't worth it there is no sense buying him instead just because the fanbse is twitchy and needs a shiny bauble

Mac has had one truncated recruiting effort and an incomplete one so far as a BE coach and has to have high marks so far. He led us to our highest heights and is a fantastic coach; for God's sake chill a little and let a bunch of people you've never seen play get out there before you fire up the negatives

The worst thing that happened to college sports message boards is widespread recruiting information. There isn't a person on here who knows how to build a program but there are a ton of people who think they do

If you thought we were going to just burst onto the scene and start bagging top recruits from Top 15 competition right out of the chute, that was ridiculously unlikely. Relationships in those circles need to be established and nurtured, our reputation burnished. The comedown in expectations some are having is probably healthy

If we wind up in the play-in game in March, the sky is absolutely not falling

Rome wasn't built in a day

I am sure there is more bit Ill leave it at that.

IMO I would take Mulder and immediate help over the transfers because we need it and hopefully successful seasons will build our recruiting and improve our program. BE A JAY MYCHAL!

I think you are way too concerned with numbers of scholarships available. Like most teams, if the coaches find someone they really, really want, they will find a way to bring them in. Personally, I'm more concerned we will find enough recruits that like us than I am about finding recruits we like.

Would love to subscribe however I am not willing to give up my Rivals subscription because of Nebraska Football. I really wish someone would come up with a way for us Jaysker fans to subscribe to both.

Ok, I probably opened the gate for some nasty responses. Oh well.

i understand that this is probably tread lightly territory - i think joey and jacob provide great info and am appreciative of them sharing what they know

but heath on rivals is truly killing it. if you're at all interested in this stuff - it's worth subscribing

i think there's room for supporting all of these great sources for Jay info. BJU and WBR are great - and so are the BJB guys.

I agree. AND I know it sucks to lose a recruit to the likes of Va Tech, Tennessee, Iowa, Iowa State, but Kentucky and Louisville, even Sparty, are different competition. There is no coaching staff in the world that could come into Creighton and beat out Kentucky for a recruit right now.
