2015 Juco PG Devon Thomas (Texas Tech Commit)

Currently plays for Cloud County CC in Kansas. Committed to Missouri State out of HS.

I believe he would have two years of eligibility.

Currently has offers from Arkansas-Little Rock and NC-Central, with interest from Kansas State, Butler, West Virginia, Temple, and Ole Miss.

He's averaging 17.9ppg and 6.6 apg this season.

Interesting. Another PG. Same questions apply that did for Carter: Why do we want/need another point guard?
Maybe he is another good shooter who could move to off guard?

He did have some very high level interest out of HS, but didn't appear to get offers due to his academic issues -- AZ State, Maryland, Pitt, Virginia, etc., apparently all took a look.

Now why we are going after another pure point is a different question, but it looks like a lot of quality programs are interested:

Doesn't appear to be a great shooter from long range. 32% percent from deep this year. Solid overall from the floor though at 52% and has a good assist to turnover ratio at 2.7.

Hmmm. Interesting. I just don't understand why we're going after another PG if he isn't a good shooter from deep.

He actually played for Mizzou St last year. Then transferred out. So I'm guessing those numbers are pretty close to accurate. Mizzou St can't hang on to any players it seems.

Given the schools that have shown interest, I have no doubt he's a good player. It just seems odd that we are going after another pure PG. Especially one with 2 years of eligibility. Watson will be starting for the next two seasons, and it would seem reasonable that Stewart would be his understudy.
