Of course, if we bring in a top flight transfer like Ojeleye that will change dramatically what happens with Martin.

This made me chuckle.

You and me both.

One point on this -- I was ready to have the same reaction, but then saw the rest of it "USA, Europe, China, etc."..

He already had a European contract signed.

He was going to play on a slovenian team, BC Krka, that also has Malcolm Armstead, and Chris Booker from Purdue. He signed the contract, but apparently, he wanted to go to college in the US.

I'm not sure how their system works, but it looked like he was previously on their junior team, but was added to the main club (somewhere they said he signed a contract), but then he left and ended up in the states. So it's not so shocking to think he may go play pro. He's not an NBA one-and-done, but he's on some European radar screens for pro play already.

Creighton makes final 6.

Duke transfer Semi Ojeleye has cut his list to Illinois, Creighton, Washington, SMU, Oregon, and Wisconsin, source told @CBSSports.

I saw on a report that said he had cut his list down to Illinois, Creighton, Washington, SMU, Oregon, and Wisconsin. I'm a little surprised were in there but man if we got him he would be huge for us. I've watch him play in high school and he was a lights out shooter and was bigger than almost anyone he played so he could get anything he wanted. As for his time at duke there was just too many elite players in front of him (not saying he isn't elite) but he wasn't as polished as the others. If we could bring him in it would be a huge grab. A much bigger get than Connor.
Aaron Brooks calls Doug McDermott "Ray." Why? "I thought that was his name. When I found out that it wasn't, I just kept calling him Ray."

He is from Kansas? Very interesting that K-state did not make the final list. I always thought last year he should have received more playing time. Sure, he was behind Hood and Parker but after that Duke did not really have another big wing player to occupy the 3 spot, yet he only received 5 mpg. He was thought of as a good shooter coming out of high school, and he is clearly a big time athlete, so the potential is there. You have to think that he'd be an impact defender as well. I think Semi would be an asset on almost any program's roster. Credit to the staff for making his short list and here's to hoping they can close the deal

If he wants to have to play in the second semester of next year and have two and a half semesters of eligibility left he's going to have to enroll in his new school by the spring semester of this year.

I don't think we have an available scholarship for the second semester this year unless Milliken doesn't cone back...

Doesn't matter. To reemphasize, whats a scholarship is used its gone of the year. There is not such thing as a one semester scholarship. Regardless if Milliken leaves on his own or if he's booted for good its his scholarship through the full school year.

So the only way any of these schools can offer a scholarship for the spring is if they already had one open from the get go, which is unlikely.

Yeah, surprised KState or Marquette are not involved (Wojo recruited him). Going against some good schools so not getting my hopes up. This guy fills a way bigger need than Frankamp.

Grayshirt means that you pay your own way the first year and get a scholarship after that. How does anything above keep a kid from grayshirting?
