It may not just be the playing time issue. Self's High-Lo post motion offense works fine when you have two solid post players, but a guys like Frankamp may be out in the cold without some post play to draw attention AND may not be the best option for Kansas if their post players are unable to attract that kind of attention. If you don't get the post attention in that offense, you need some guys to slash to the basket.. Self does have guys who can slash and while Frankamp can do that a bit, but that's not his strength.

But giving him a bit more structure makes him much more valuable -- Put him in a pick and roll or pick and pop where he has the handle to force the issue alongside a big who can move to the basket or shoot and he could be devastating, IMO. Run him off of a couple of screens with some curls and some options off the catch and he could be devastating.. Give him open floor with other shooters spreading it out and he could be devastating because he can shoot, drive and distribute.

Looks to me like maybe more of a poor fit with Kansas than anything. It would be interesting to watch Kansas' practices and see if my speculation above is correct. In any case, he'd be a very nice fit with us. Yes, we'd be small at the guards, but we would have dynamic playmakers all over -- think of a Watson/Frankamp/Zierden (maybe Harrell) back court, and then Harrell, Hegner, Huff, Gilmore and Hanson front court.. that's a group that is hard to defend.

I went on the Wichita State message board to see if there was any news on Connor F. Won't do that again. There are some strange people on that board. The comments about Creighton are absurd and just plain stupid! They are now a top 10 "program" and Connor should go there if he has any sense. Of course, only if their sainted coach wants him. They actually don't know any more about the situation than we do, but that doesn't stop the babbling!

I would think our Friday night game opening the season would be a good opportunity to see Mr. Frankamp at one of our games. Any idea If that will happen? if we want this young man, which I am sure we do, we cannot lose him to this MV school. I would have to believe he would much prefer playing in the BIG EAST against a much higher caliber of talent with a team that has a strong future with young talent in the mix.

Pfft. We're a dogshit program in a has-been midmajor conference that has a non-national TV contract. He'll never come here, unless his desire to not play D or work hard overrides his desire to truly excel.

Now Wichita, what possible drawback can there be? In fact, since they're already two scholies over the limit, he should probably pay not only the spring semester there, he should be willing to walk on his junior season as well; it'd be a terrific way to atone for an egregious past mistake and prove to the faithful that he is worthy to wear the black and gold.

This isn't rocket science, people.

I forgot - his potential transfer has to be embraced by the bespectacled grand poo-bah of the Loyal Order of the Water Buffaloes; we all know if Conner isn't his 'sort' then Wichita is out, because Frankamp is nothing more than rec league fodder.

1. His dad is not a kook.
2. WSU had a strong guard class that redshirted last year and have signed 2 good ones for next year. Crowded.

Curious, why do you waist your time going over to that dog turd site?

As I remember from our Valley days, Wichiturd fans on that sight and MVC Fans have got to be the most delusional and unsecure in the country.
Hell, a few of them still come over here and post and we have nothing to do with them. They will forever be our bitch and they can't handle it.

I love it. :D
