Would have been good to land Chris. However, it ain't over 'til Spring 2015. We've got a Top 50 class and 2 scholies to give, so there is no reason for internal bickering, headhunting, name calling, or character assassination. We've made quota as we have 2 Top 150 recruits in hand, so Spring signings will be gravy. Stop the petty BS. Creighton is okay and still in the driver's seat. The coaches will get it done. ;)

Might want to flip the ol' sarcasm detector on.

Why oh why would I need to do that little dukie, you've been harping about our coaching staff all night. If you're trying to say all that was sarcasm you really are spreading the ol' dukie around. Or maybe you just don't understand the term. (Wink. Dripping with sarcasm).

What are you talking about? Maybe instead of flipping the sarcasm detector on, you need to push the reading comprehension button. The post you replied to was me responding to another poster who made the ridiculous assertion that Clarke was a bad fit for Creighton. If I had made that claim, which implies the staff wasted all of their time on a guy who would never have fit on the team, I would have been "harping" on the staff. I was actually defending the staff.

My comments have been civil. I stated that we missed on another guy; said I'm ready for actual games to start, and asked if Sellers had landed a recruit yet, which I was genuinely curious about. I had forgotten he was the point man on Mo Watson. In another thread, I stated that I felt there would be genuine cause for concern if we hadn't landed Patton, which I think is a fair assessment.

But thank you for entertaining the board with some quality bathroom humor.

'Tis better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.

We wouldn't be going after these guys in the old MVC days. To even be in the top 3 or 4 of top 50 recruits isn't something to sniff at.

Totally agree...most guys we recruit will not come to Creighton (which, stating the obvious, happens at every school). But some will. Out of that, some will be good, some will be great, some will end up matriculating elsewhere. Such is college recruiting. But, correct me if I am wrong, Creighton has never experienced the influx of talent like we have the last two years (could technically say the last 14 months or so).

+1. The reality is that you don't get top recruits until you are in on top recruits. We are doing that and as others have pointed out, our full recruiting picture (including transfers & walkons) is very bright. And the idea that identifying, recruiting and getting commitments from kids before they blow-up on the national scene is somehow less valuable is silly. That is a sign of coaching talent. Recognizing real talent is a skill. Computer blogs are great for fans but mean nothing in terms of team development. That's what coaches do, develop teams.

Hope he chose the school for the school. That coach won't be there next year.
