The article made me nervous, with the discussion of him bonding with the MSU players and other things his dad said. I know he also bonded with our players. It may just be the last visit "glow". I am glad he is taking his time and that the article makes it clear that we are still in it. I think we are the best choice for his game, but he will make that decision. I would link the article if I knew how!

Maybe the article is great because McQuaid wouldn't talk to the MSU guys cuz he's ready to commit to the Jays and so his dad stepped up for it. who knows?

I'd venture to say that the reason it sounds positive towards Michigan State is because....well, the article was written by a Michigan State writer. This is a teenage kid, so who the heck knows what he's really thinking? Have to be patient and see in the next few days, I just hope he says "Go Jays".

Biggest thing I took away from the article is his dad saying he will take a few days to reflect on the schools instead of just committing right after the visit. Bodes well for CU. Article gives an MSU lean but in terms of him really getting to know the team he did that in omaha and for what it's worth I didn't read into it much but a friend of mine did, he only is following 1 msu player on twitter after the visit but is still following 5 Jays. I'd say 50/50 right now we get him

I hope a big difference to the parents is stressing the education and development of the person beyond basketball that takes place at Creighton. At Creighton, he won't just be another athlete. He will make life long friends ( not only bball team members) and be prepared for life after college. You can see CU graduates are responsible adults that represent the university well and are still part of the Jay family long after their playing days. We see that take place for example at every Valley, and now, Big East tournament and also Kyle Korver's Annual Golf Fund Raiser where there is a big reunion of players.

Matt's a scorer and like the ad said- we have a vacancy! You can achieve an NBA dream at CU as well as knowing you will be prepared for life.

It looked to me like a story written by the guys from an MSU site.. I didn't see anything that indicated to me that they were in the lead, just that we were now down to two. I still like our chances.
