Rollfreakingjays!

I like our chances with those three. Texas is close to home, but would be playing for a guy who was on the hot seat at this time last year. Michigan State's even farther away than us, and plays a rough, tough, grinding style. Better program obviously, but maybe not a better fit for his skills.

Time to roll that red carpet out for Matt. Matt knows the Staff is all in for him and he's seen CU 2 or 3 times. Hope the Staff can come up with a couple of new twists to give this visit the Wow Facter of Senior Night. GO Jays!

Hope Matt enjoys his visit here in Omaha this weekend. Would love to add another sharpshooter to our collection of players!

Did some research at Michigan State and they already have a 6'4 shooting guard verbal (Kyle Ahrens). Interesting that they are pursuing another shooting guard in McQuaid.

I guess if you're a Michigan State you stockpile at a spot and discard the vanquished down the road a year or two.

Good reminder on Ahrens, I forgot they landed him already. Physically they are pretty similar. Ahrens committed after recovering from a broken leg his junior year, so no worries about him coming back from his injury, he's already back.

That is what many of these high profile teams do, they go get a recruit and then they go get another guy in your slot as well and someone is "surprised" to become a role player. McQuaid can obviously help a team as a designated shooter off the bench which might be the way MSU is looking at him, but I think he can be a lot more on the right team. Creighton's certainly shown the ability to develop more and more aspects to a kid's game over his time in Omaha, but to do that the players need reps and minutes, not a role as a specialist only.

Matt would be a focal point of our offense. He would flourish here with the sets we run. I hope he sees that while Michigan State is an excellent program, his role there would be smaller, at least the first couple years.
