I saw a story 3 weeks ago where the Dr. thought he would better after the hips were fixed.

Don't think we have a realistic shot at him but...

2015 recruit Matt Ryan tells us that as of right now ND, UNC, Duke, Stanford, Creighton, ASU, GTOWN, Michigan & Wisco are working hardest

Notre Dame basketball is a strange choice right now, for anybody, IMO. I am a ND fan but it will take them a long long time to be ACC quality. Trending the wrong way for a long while now.

Go to Duke, it's a great academic school and 10x as good. Oh well, people are weird.

I think some schools cooled off on him after his injury so who knows what offers still stood....

He would have struggled to get time at Duke with the wings they have coming in. And they really cooled on him as of late. Not surprised by the ND commit.

Leaving Notre Dame. Many think he would have been in line to start at the 3 or 4 the next season for the Irish. Had limited role outside of a hooter (43.4% from 3) thus far in his career.

McDermott, DeVries, Lutz recruited Ryan hard the first go around, as did Rhode Island Asst Preston Murphy. My guess is we definitely reach out to Ryan. He is the poster boy of Creighton's efforts to recruit out East to the #LetItFly motto.

I'm slipping I guess I didn't remember just how close we were to getting Ryan.

Ryan has narrowed his list down to Notre Dame, Duke, North Carolina, Stanford, Michigan and Creighton. Duke and North Carolina had yet to extend scholarship offers. Both wanted to wait until their head coaches had evaluated Ryan in person, but that likely would not have come until he returned to action late this fall.

We were right there for him but his Dad's love of ND was the key in his recruitment. Go Jays!
