New ESPN Top 100 is out... 17 Jays recruiting (uncommitted) targets on the ESPN list, if you use the WBR listing as a guide.

Really solid update. Thanks for all the info.

Side note: Billy Wampler's hometown is Eau Claire, Wisconsin, not Minneapolis.

I'm so excited for this recruiting class. Everyday when I log on I hope to see a commit.. Hilltop, as of right now, what is your gut feeling on the 4 players we get to come here? I think best case scenario ( and maybe unrealistic) would be Ellenson (who is now #5 on ESPN top 100) Illikainen, Glynn Watson, and either Chris Clarke or Falzon. I personally think the class will end up being Illikainen, Watson, Cody Schwartz, and the 4th will be someone we don't expect.

Great to have Glynn on campus...Purdue was 1st to offer, but he is looking for a Hoops 1st school with great academics. I like our chances.

Best Case scenario, WBR list: C/PF Henry Ellenson, SF DJ Hogg, SG/PG Jalen Adams, C Tyler Davis

Most likely commits: Ellenson, Adams, Watson, Illikainen.

Ellenson is a top 10 kid per the ESPN 100. Pass the blue kool-aid!

Two things:

1) We really need to stop using the ESPN recruiting site. They are historically pretty bad, and their analysis is lazy. For my money, it doesn't get better than 247Sports. Constantly updated, and if you look back on previous classes, they have been by far the most accurate.

2) Ellenson is not coming to Creighton, so stop getting your hopes up. He'll be at Wisconsin or Duke. There are a ton of really solid players who Creighton has a good chance to land, but Ellenson is not one. He would be the best player on the team the minute he stepped on campus; and as the WBR crew noted, the only way he comes here is if we can sell him on that notion. That's the longest of long shots.

Sooo, Boar, Duke? Who are your guesses for best case and for most probable commits?

That was the question.

PS: Rumor has it that Henry has lumberjacks in his family lineage, has started growing a beard, and has been known to sport various blue plaid shirts...recently. :D

I don't want to make guesses who our best chances are at commits because we are dealing with 17 and 18 year old kids here. Their minds can change from minute to minute.
