I watched this game on TV and RH is the real deal.

East's best player is going to CUBuffs, but he was invisible and RH won the game singlehandedly. His teammates were super selfish and forced a ton of shots, but he waited for the game to come to him.

His shot is effortless and always looked smooth.

At one point, RH had the ball at the top of the 3 pt line. In one motion he went past his guy, pulled off a finger roll, grabbed the rim because he was so high, and was fouled. The announcers thought he goaltended his own shot, but "it was all in one motion" according to them.

He also got fouled shooting a 3 when the kid grabbed his shirt. Smart move.

Needs some work on D, but he's 6'7 with long arms. East got away with pure athleticism on defense.

Given his shooting ability and potential physical skills, he can be great. I don't want to say NBA because he doesn't have an NBA body and Creighton needs 4 years from him. I don't know his work ethic, but you don't shoot well without working at it. If he buys into our system he is a perfect addition to fill our needs in the Big East.

#71 in final ESPN rankings, and his grade of 84 is the same as the guy who is at #66. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/baske ... ie-harrell

To put that in some perspective, ESPN has him 2 spots above Tum Tum Nairn, and only 11 spots below the big guy from Texas who was our Corn friends' obsession for many weeks. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/baske ... class/2014

He's 10th in the region, which includes Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma (and Nebraska). Leon Gilmore's 18th in the region (and would almost certainly be an ESPN 150 guy if they had 150 players ranked, based on his 79 grade and how close his numbers are to the last several players in the top 100).

Add another 2 quality players this year and get 3-4 guys in the Harrell/Gilmore range for 2015, and the new era of Creighton recruiting will be looking really nice.

and the Big East has 21 of the top 150 listed. Pretty nice for 10 team conference.

And the conference has 16 of Scout's top 100 ( in the mix for 1 more )... 20 of Rivals top 150. Strong showing on all the recruiting service boards.

I agree that he needs to gain some weight and strength, and Leon probably needs to work on his shot and handle just a bit. But, I think it would be IDIOTIC to RS either of them. I think they both can and will contribute a lot next season. Can't wait to see them play.

I doubt either of the freshman redshirt. Kreklow coming in may change that, but we'll see. Gilmore can be an immediate impact player. He plays like a bulldog, has a great motor, and has a big enough frame already to get in there and muscle with the guys in the Big East. Harrell definitely needs to add strength, but that's never going to be his strong suit. He's a finesse player who is a great shooter. Add in the fact that he's 6'8" and he's going to be a lot to deal with as well.

I can see playing both of them, but to think that it is idiotic to RS either one is a bit short sited. In particular Harrell needs to build up strength and bulk to handle the play in the BE. Maybe he'll get there, but I think it would be idiotic to play a kid who isn't physically ready for what he's going to face -- especially one with the kind of skills he has. Why waste a year with 5 minutes per game when the pay off the following year would be so good.
