Scout's bottom line...per ESPN Insider...

Bottom Line:
Okwarabizie is a fast learning strong and physical post that runs, finishes, rebounds and defends. He is a former soccer player so his hand, eye coordination and ability to run is special. He has a great body and matching upside.

visited lincoln last week, but no offer. He has pretty much all Mo Valley offers right now, but a lot of BCS teams are keeping communications open and waiting to see what happens. Apparently, he wasn't eligible for the first semester, so only recently started playing with his HS team. Said he's averaging 13/13 a game right now.

He is very mobile, very physically coordinated (soccer), and a fast learner. Poss PF/C. 6-10/250. Would be a good addition.

With that offer list I was expecting to click that highlight link and see an oaf. I realize it's only one play but it does give you an idea of his athleticism. I'm no scout but most guys with that size and ability to chew gum and walk at the same time are going to get some good offers...safe to say it's only academics holding programs back?

He's been at a handful of Creighton home games this season. If he is eligible, which seems to be the question, I would be surprised if he doesn't get an offer from us.

Academics - in the sense that he is new to the states, from Nigeria. Poss not meeting eligibility standard?
However, he attended school in St Louis last year. Sioux city schools this year - should get cleared.

I've been told by his h.s. coach that he probably won't be available until at least 2nd semester.

You mean for HS? If that is what you meant, he just started playing, so the prediction was correct. He just got cleared and has played only a few games thus far.

Any word on whether or not he'll qualify for NCAA ball?
