Video interview with ESPN and Matt Schick. Nothing really new though.

Yea, it's fairly obvious he's not going to be choosing Creighton. This kid really wants to play at a "name brand" school, it appears. That's too bad, because literally everything he seems to want in a program (aside from name) is here at Creighton. I feel VERY good about our wing options going forward with Harrell, LGIII, and D. Harris.

We got in early and have stayed in, but things don't look good on that front. Sometimes the kid just doesn't feel it. On the other hand, Mac and the staff do a great job of staying in touch and keeping doors open. Cunningham is the kind of kid who might end up at a B10 school and just get squeezed out after a year or two, and then you keep the door open.

I'm happy about Harrell, LGIII, Hegner (I add him in because I think of Cunningham as a guy who is a 3/4 combo of sorts), Harris, and about what we can do with that last scholarship as well. Hard to figure out what we do -- roll it into next year or try to find a late bloomer in the '14 class that fits the bill. I'd love to get a PG, but the ranks are thin at this point for '14 and odds are much better for '15.

This isn't the Valley, we don't need anybody's scraps. If you get a full recruitment from Creighton and turn us down you don't need to be on the team. If you can't see the floor in the Big 10 you don't need to be here, either.

Do names like Rodney Hood, Greg Echenique, Tarik Black ring a bell? Kids transfer for a multitude of reasons, not just because of playing time. That's an arrogant, close-minded statement to make on your part. I'm happy that our staff realizes it's always better to leave the door open.

I like Greg Echenique personally but the team got better when he left. His numbers at Rutgers were significantly better than his numbers at Creighton ever were. He developed negatively throughout his time here.

It's better to leave the door open because it benefits the team - if you need to fill out a roster you can add a Tarik Black who is significantly below the team's talent level but is a nice piece to have on the bench. Rodney Hood was a 5-star recruit who went to a shit program for who knows why, that's a different situation than an average high major talent like Cunningham. Kid wants to see his name in lights more than he wants to win, we don't need that here.

A little bird told me we will be actively looking for a 5th year transfer to come in and start for his senior season.

Did the little birdie give a name? I'm assuming they must know of someone who is thinking of transferring....

I can also confirm a bird told me a similar thing.
