Names at Verbalcommits for 2014 who don't have their own thread (we are not on Trey Dickerson's list):

PG: juco Paris Clayton, hs Marcus Graves, hs Vasilije Pusica

SG: juco Roderick Lawrence, juco Tanksley Efianayi

SF: juco Willie Atwood

PF: juco Malik Dime

C: hs Ikenna Okwarabizie (from Sioux City. Anybody up that way seen him?)

I'll let other wonks dig up info on these guys. Atwood we know about the others are new to me.

There's a thread on Ikenna Okwarabizie somewhere....

I saw a clip of Dime and Efianayi. Lets just say that both of them can defend the rim and they can finish with style.

I am not well versed in the world of recruiting so please forgive me if I completely sound idiotic. But is Lutz our main recruiter?

I'm not trying to be a total dick here or anything but hasn't he missed on a few now? His main area is Texas right? Well, Groselle hasn't exactly produced anything and Nevin Johnson was whatever he was.

I'll duck now.

Chatman has now been our starting point guard for 2 straight seasons, and will be next year. Oh! and, you know, that 4-star kid we have coming in next season, LGIII.

Groselle is a Sophomore who battled a serious Achilles issue. We are going to see production out of him. Lutz is doing just fine.

Groselle hasn't delivered like we hoped, so far, but he was highly recruited with offers from both Iowa schools, both Colorados, etc. Kid with that size is valuable even if it is hard to project how much you can develop them.

Johnson was more of a reach, for sure, but he's still picking up some interest coming back out of Juco this year. He had some potential, I've never really head what was going on behind the scenes. For a priod there he picked up more minutes than several players this year, but clearly something wasn't clicking.

The one thing I can say about Lutz's recruiting is that the players he brings in are good kids with a team first mentality. I don't think Nevin's departure was due to attitude or anything. It was probably from a basketball sense. Heck, wasn't Nevin hanging around the team this year prior to a game and stuff?

Our move to the Big East has caused some transition in recruiting where it might seem like there's some inconsistencies, too.

It seems to me they need both a PF and a PG fairly badly. Next year the 2 PG will be seniors. I wonder if Zierdan is being considered as a PG going forward. Can Cunningham be a PF? Looking at next year who would be the PFs? Is Hegner the only true PF?
