Maybe we can just pay Loyola off? I was under the assumption North Texas was just one game. We better not be scheduling H&Hs with them.

North Texas was a 2 for 1

So why didn't we play UNT this year?

I'm no scheduling expert.

And I thought the Tulsa series went like this?

@Tulsa (Part of Doug's busting out party where the Tulsa coach raved about Doug)
Tulsa (Danny Manning's first year)
Tulsa (this year)
@Tulsa (next year)

Future schedules can be referenced here:

Next year, Creighton travels to both Tulsa and North Texas, as well as to St. Joseph's. Combined with a road game at Nebraska, it will shock no one if the Loyola game gets pushed back again or just gets bought out, because there's no chance CU wants to play five true road games in the non-conference, especially next year. Four is pushing it as it is.

Honestly, the BE changed everything. I would not be shocked if we buy out more than one game. Two true roadies should be the goal going forward.

I would expect us to honor the Tulsa contract.

I'm fairly certain we won't be playing St. Joe's again.

UNT was a 2 for 1, but over a four year period. This year was always supposed to be an "off" year.

Your Tulsa schedule is how I remember it too.

As to potentially buying out of games, I only see that possibly happening with Loyola. Tulsa joins the AAC next year, which is kinda-sorta an upper tier conference. With the way we recruit Texas, I think a game at UNT is nice little exposure opportunity for us, along with allowing the Texas kids on our roster a chance to play close to friends and family back home. Tulsa is also a relatively close drive for Texas recruits.

Loyola is the valueless game now. We already play in Chicago with Depaul, so we aren't even going to get any additional recruiting benefit out of it.

I thought we signed a St. Joe's series through like 2017?

I'm okay with playing @Tulsa because I think they're respectable and have good athletes that might prep us for conference play but @UNT is just bad bad bad.

I'd love to see a series against Iowa or Iowa State or even KState in Lincoln or something.

We did initially but I'm pretty sure it's done. Not much to get from a game in Philly now that we play in the area all the time now. It's not exactly been a great non-conference bump for us either.
