Get ready for a lot more of that sentiment. Schools aren't used to going head to head and losing to Creighton for recruits at this level. This is great situation...to think only a few weeks ago some of us were ready to jump off the ledge. :D

Welcome to Creighton family Ronnie!

Digging around on the net. Found three fun facts so far:

1) He is Ronnie Jr. So we have a Junior and a The Third. :)

2) His cousin is Chauncey Billups. Good genes!

3) He sees himself as a 2 or a 3 but can pinch hit at the 1.With CU's interchangeabilty at the wing we can send a lot of different looks at people year after next.

Couple opinions on the Harrell commit.

@William_Whelan (Colorado Rivals writer): Ronnie Harrell to Creighton. Blue Jays just landed them a future All-Conference wing

Corey Evans ‏@coreyevans (Roundball Rundwon Report)_10 6m
Ronnie Harrell was one of the more intringing players I saw all July. Giant ceiling and quality risk and pickup for Creighton

Consensus is that he played PG as a freshmen/sophomore when he was 5'10, is known as a shooter but now has grown to 6'6/6'7 and has huge upside.

Gotta love this quote from a different thread on the Purdue board:

His high school coach, Rudy Carey - who is the best known high school basketball coach in Colorado, called him the best shooter he has coached in 35 years. ...

I think Harrell is also Chauncey Billup's cousin.

Couple of shorter Harrell videos. He's a mismatch nightmare at the guard position.

Yeah this one is pretty surprising. Talked about almost committing on his visit. Painter goes out and see's him personally after. I get that Creighton is closer to home (but it isn't close) than Purdue but still surprised. I guess when he said he was real low key he wasn't kidding, won't be a lot of pressure at Creighton. Maybe he's chasing some piece of tail there.

Some happy fans over there...

Classy. Ronnie, I think you made the right choice. Welcome to the family.
So long Valley, hello big time.
