Interesting....Creighton assistant coach was there last week. What 2014 players are at Orlando Christian Prep? G Adonys Henriquez who recently decommitted from Miami and is a top 100 player and G Dmitri Thompson, 3 star rivals. Thompson has said that both are possibly interested in a package deal. I assume that's who we are looking at.

Per Jeff Goodman and hilltop, Adonys Henriquez is indeed our target.

You're going to want to listen to the Bluejay Banter podcast.

I debated whether or not to bring this back up, but just to prove I wasn't crazy... :D

Hilltop

Haven't gotten a chance to listen to BJB yet but I will check out the podcast

Just curious if you have any idea if Adonys is a PG candidate or primarily a SG/SF guy. Also is Riley LaChance a PG or SG?

Still seems like we have several talented wings on our radar

Gilmore, Harrell, Cunningham, LaChance, Henriquez, Demery

Adonys is a clear SG. He can bring the ball up but he's more of a creative 1-on-1 scorer than a true facilitator. I do like LaChance and am not sure of many other top PG out there in 2014, so if Riley goes elsewhere we might be looking at a JC in the spring or hold the spot to offer a top 2015 PG like Brunson, and offer him immediate PT as Chatman, Brooks will be gone.

Think Riley is a clear cut PG at the BE level. Very similar to IZ, better ball handler tho.

Hilltop. I'm guessing that we take both Gilmore and Cunningham? Play one at the SF and the other at the PF?
SG Henriquez...wow - a great get if we can pull it off.

Thinking Gilmore and Cunningham could mesh in same class but see them more as a SG/SF combo than a SF/PF pair

I think a lot of our strategy for this year has to be to cast a very wide net with lots of high end offers with the knowledge that the recruiting will get more serious for us when the season starts and kids start seeing us on TV every week.

Until then, they may recogize that we are in the Big East, but the reality just isn't there yet.

If you look at what's going on in the Big East this is looking like one of the biggest recruiting weekends in Creighton history (hyperbole?). With all the commits that the Big East is landing the conference is going to be absolutely stacked in the future. We've got a big time recruit coming this weekend in Cunningham and Gilmore will take his last visit too and decide. Get both of those guys and I feel comfortable with where we're at in comparison with the rest of the BE if we can then get a solid JUCO point guard in the spring to go with them. Get just one of the two and that's still a solid start to the class. However, strikeout on both and our talent level is going to look awfully weak in the future in comparison to our conference brethren unless some real surprises pop up.
