With Bartley committing to SLU before we even got a visit, I'm officially concerned about our 2014 class.

We're not exactly talking about Russell Westbrook here. But, does that leave us with open offers to LaChance, Gilmore, Harrell, Demery, Burton, Cunningham(?), and Mason(??)?

I hope these young men, especially those who commit elsewhere without a visit, understand what they are missing out on. A very capable and classy coaching staff, one of the best ADs in the country, world class facilities, the opportunity to play in an NBA caliber arena, great academics and academic support, the 6th largest attendance in the country, and the most (or certainly, one of the most) passionate fanbase in the country.
And once you are part of the Creighton family, you are family for life. I was at a large local Catholic event tonight, and topic number one was Creighton athletics, especially basketball, in the new Big East. Leon, Riley, Stuckey, others, I hope you join us.
So long Valley, hello big time.

I think when all is done this will be a good class. It's been a wild ride and plenty of twists and turns. It's always darkest just before dawn. Go Jays!

Piv saying Coac Mac in Texas for a "big" home visit tonight (Gilmore I'm assuming?). Also saying they are trying to get some guys on campus for next week.

Yes we are:

Greg McDermott, Creighton Bluejays

The Bluejays are losing their all-everything guy -- and I’m not talking about Grant Gibbs, either. Doug McDermott will be graduating and Gibbs won’t be able to petition for a sixth year of eligibility. Jahenns Manigat and Ethan Wragge also will graduate. Greg McDermott, in his first season in the Big East, is still searching for his first commitment.

Chalk up another big win for the Hoyas and Big East. Paul White, the 4 star PF has committed to Georgetown. #57 on ESPN and #54 on Rivals. Amazing 2014 Big East class so far.

It's at least moderately interesting to me that in the wake of the Wright, Macura, and Bartley commits we have not heard anything about new 2014 offers. Good thing, I guess?

As for the talk of some possible visitors this month other than Harrell, if they are to be official visits, I'm real curious to hear who might be coming to Omaha. Besides Demery, who I do not think has had an official anywhere, but seems to be coming off an injury and was recently watched by ODU, and maybe Mosley (who I do not think has a CU offer at this point), Cunningham or even Burton, I'm clueless as to where there might be high mutual interest.

Now that Gilmore's had in-home visits with TT and UH, and an official to UH, maybe his decision will be sooner rather than later?

Edit on 9-16 after Jet and Hilltop posts:
We have our new 2014 offer. No idea how much of a chance we have, but I like it.

And there's the news about a Cunningham visit. Fantastic.

OCPHOOPS ‏@ocphoops 6m
HC Donnie Jones (UCF), Will Wade (TN Chat) & Greg McDermott (Creighton) & assistants from IUPUI, Campbell, S. Alabama & UNCG at OCP today.
Expand

Interesting....Creighton assistant coach was there last week. What 2014 players are at Orlando Christian Prep? G Adonys Henriquez who recently decommitted from Miami and is a top 100 player and G Dmitri Thompson, 3 star rivals. Thompson has said that both are possibly interested in a package deal. I assume that's who we are looking at.
