Gilmore participated in a John Lucas camp last weekend called 40/40.

Lucas tweeted

"Coach John Lucas ‏@CoachJohnLucas1 8 Sep
6'7 2014 Leon Glimore III is a special talent. One of the best athletes in the class. Late bloomer"

Hope the coaches get in to Houston to see him soon. Leon would be great Bluejay.

I hope we get Leon, I know we are definitely in contention but we have Harrell coming in and the longer and farther he goes, the chances I would think would go down, I have a feeling this board will meltdown if Leon doesn't come.

As for UT, I hope Leon realizes that Barnes probably isn't going to be around for much longer....

I hope he comes here, for both our sake and his. His mom says it's important for what is best for him- developing as a person as well as an athlete and getting an education. Our coaches can speak about all of our former athletes graduating and getting jobs out of college. Creighton's educational advantage over these other schools is huge. HIs ability to grow and succeed post college will be a testament to the type of students to which he is exposed and the importance placed on advancing his education. He won't be allowed to just get by or passed through. He will be challenged in the classroom as well as on the court; and have the support to be successful in both. Hopefully, they are looking not only at the four years, but beyond. I believe CU sells great on both fronts.

+1 Mel....I wholeheartedly agree that it's the best fit for him (and us).
We are who we are. It's all in the fine tuning that we distinguish ourselves.

We have a good cadre of Bigs, and we have good guards. A wing of Leon's caliber - great athleticism and dynamic
play fills the hole in the Jays lineup. Definitely could have gone further in the NCAAs with good
wIng play. B A Jay, Leon.

Mel is spot on. This young man and his family seem to have their priorities lined up. They will see what the opportunity for a quality education at the #1 ranked Midwest university can provide--all that in addition to playing on a top notch basketball program. The fact he is going through this decision making process speaks well both for him and for CU's chances to land him as a Jay.

Took an official visit to Houston this weekend. Anyone know who Piv was referring to when he said that Coach Mac was going to have an in-home visit in Texas this weekend.
