He'll take an unofficial to Butler on Aug. 29. He will also take an official visit to Vanderbilt on Sept. 6, take an unofficial to Xavier on Sept. 13, take an official to Davidson on Sept. 27 and take an official visit to Baylor in October. He has one more remaining official visit should he chose to take it.

Interesting quote from Mark Miller at HolyLand. Based on the fact that he took an official visit to CU do you think it's safe to extrapolate that we're in the final three with Vandy and Davidson?

I would say we are his final 5 considering he has 5 official visits, who knows for sure though. If he is going to take a official to Baylor in October, for some reason, I have a feeling we will have a PG by then (Wright maybe?) so he might be out of luck from our standpoint.

Mark Miller, a recruiting expert from Wisconsin said this:

Creighton is the leader, but the clock is ticking. Bluejays in on some other PGs who may opt to commit before LaChance, thus hindering LaChance's chances of ending up at Creighton.

Love the "Creighton is the leader" part of that quote. Don't like the thought of potentially losing out because someone else might commit before him.

Will the staff try the waiting game again? It looked like a bad move last summer when they didn't accept Shirmane Thomas' verbal and then missed out on both Dawson and Foster. In hindsight, however, it looks like there was more to that situation than most of us know

I don't think that's what he was alluding to.

Alright, so being very high on the lists of two other PG's means absolutely nothing? How am I the only one that can foresee a situation like last summer playing out again?

Reread what he said.

He said that we are the leader, but that Riley, not Creighton, was not done exploring options. In other words, we are leading, but the race is not yet over. That is not even close to the same thing as saying that Riley has verballed, nor does it say that anyone else has verballed either.

By the way, who said we wanted Shirmane Thomas so badly?
"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott

Reread what I said. I never stated that we had verbals from anyone. All I asked was how the staff would handle it if we received a verbal from a PG other than LaChance first. Take it or wait? Considering we are in the top 5 of three PG's (two of which have only a small number of BCS offers, bolstering our chances), that scenario is not out of the realm of possibility.
