I just don't see the need to play Kansas. It seems like more of a dream of the MVC days. I know people want to see us play teams like that but I don't. Sorry.

Look at our two losses in the NCAA tournament the past two years. UNC and Duke. Eventually, to make it to the Sweet 16, not only will we have to play one of those teams 'like that', but beat them as well.

Well that escalated quickly. A sports opinion comment about the number of road fans at a Creighton home game brings into question my legal capacity? Think we need to take it down a notch. And class? I've merely stated that there is a logical fact pattern that would lead one to suggest a lot of KU fans would be excited to travel to Omaha to see a close road game - in that same vein, Kentucky fans (at least from Lexington) would have a 12 hour drive to get to Omaha...Lawrence is 3 hours. This is a sports opinion forum and I'll treat it as such. And as long as I follow the forum rules, I'll enjoy expressing my opinions.

I'm honestly surprised at the ravenous response to a comment about CLink fan makeups. You guys didn't have a problem with the tongue-in-cheek assumption that KU would be able to beat Creighton in their own gym?

Love the banter but keep it a little less personal. This issue is done, move on.

P.S. - The 8k at the Sprint Center for a game on Monday, November 19th is a really bad argument. KU played St. Louis the following night - interestingly enough, to a crowd of 10,315. It's safe to say that people don't have the money or time to attend back-to-back games on a Monday/Tuesday. KU again played at the Sprint Center on Friday, November 30th, this time against Oregon State...in front of a crowd of 18,789.

You should probably lay low for awhile. This isn't for you.

Therein lies the problem.

You made a statement based on zero facts and obviously without any advance knowledge as to the number of season ticketholders that Creighton currently possesses. Then, as if you weren't already on the ledge, you used exaggerated, assumed, or outright fabricated attendance numbers for KU games in KC to justify your claim that KU fans would takeover our home arena. As if that wasn't bad enough, every single one of your posts has a certain, "I'm more knowledgeable about college basketball than you because I went to Kansas" aura to it that is remarkably condescending and insulting. In a lot of ways, your act here resembles that of a typical Nebraska football fan when discussing college FB. When you do all of those things, you shouldn't be surprised when people choose to counter-attack.

Good luck in law school.
"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott

Yep Trifecta, this thread has devolved into an Twilight Zone episode. :?:

Mayhaps we should mimic ostriches and "hide" in the sand... or return to independent status
so we can avoid playing any significant teams - glorious anonymity.
This thread is a real boost to an otherwise slow week.
